i was like "hey michael what can i do to sing this last part, besides just like... singing into a normal mic?" and he somehow was not like "wtf are you talking about" he was like "what if you use the studio talkback mic?" and so i sang that last part in the control room with michael standing behind me it was weird my favorite guitar tone is on this song this song features layered fuzz guitar (did i mention i like the the Smashing Pumpkins?) my other favorite guitar tone is that last part it is the Graphic Fuzz pedal, so underrated, one of my favs with that dynamic expressive "edge-of-breakup" guitar tone if you're a guitar person you're like "totally" and so jealous and if you're not a guitar person i am sorry i cannot explain Josh & i practiced this song a few times then he nailed the drum track on his first (and only) take ahhh... professionals
